The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 36-year old man was killed Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash about 7 miles east of Hermosa. The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
The Patrol says he was eastbound on Hwy 40 about 1:40 when he lost control of his older model car while entering a curve.
The car went off the roadway and rolled. The man was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation with the results of toxicology reports pending.
