All 3 Scottsbluff teenagers arrested for a Saturday night shooting that left another teen with a non-life-threatening wound have been charged as adults.
18-year-old Ray Camacho Jr, 17-year-old Gabriel Barron, and 16-year-old Landon Horton are all charged with Attempted 1st-Degree Murder, Felony Use of a Weapon, 1st Degree Assault, and at least five counts of Terroristic Threats.
Camacho, Barron, and Horton all made their initial appearance in Scotts Bluff County Court Monday and had their bail set at $700,000 apiece. Barron is slated for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, Camacho and Horton next Tuesday.
According to arrest affidavits, the incident started with the 3 defendants driving past a house and yelling at several people outside before parking around the corner and walking back to the house.
Witnesses told investigators a heated verbal altercation followed, Camacho, Barron, and Horton eventually began walking away, but that shots were then fired and the trio ran away.
At the time of the incident, Camacho was free on bond after accepting a plea bargain earlier in the week on felony counts of terroristic threats while brandishing a gun and of fleeing police in chase that reached speeds of 110 mph.
