Failure to set brakes is blamed for an unusual traffic accident just before 6:00 this morning in Chadron on 3rd St/Hwy 20.
      Chadron police say a trucker was unloading a semi at Skeeter’s NAPA Auto Parts, located on the north side of 3rd Street and the highest point on the street when the tractor-trailer began rolling across the parking lot.Â
The semi crossed Maple Street and hit another truck parked at the Closer to Home soup kitchen before veering south across 3rd St/Hwy 20 and hitting the north bay at the Hi-Tech Car Care car wash.
Police say there were no injuries and that there was no other traffic when the semi crossed either street.
The car wash bay was lifted to allow the semi to be pulled out.
Would be interesting to know if he missed setting the Tractor or Trailer or both sets of brakes.
