GORDON – The Nebraska State Patrol and Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting death that occurred two weeks ago in in the Gordon area.
State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says deputies and NSP investigators were called to a rural residence on March 15 in reference to an accidental death.
Preliminary indicators led investigators to believe that 44-year old Shanita Anderson was killed when a gun accidentally went off.
Thomas says the investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the State Patrol Troop E headquarters in Scottsbluff at 308-632-1223.
