State Flags At Half-Staff Mon For Former SD Lawmaker

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has ordered flags at the State Capitol to be flown at half-staff on Monday to honor the life of George Blair, a former state legislator from Sturgis.

Blair, who served 4 terms in the State House from 1979 to 1986, passed away on New Year’s Day at age 98. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.
