State Senate Panel Admonishes GOP Leaders For Conduct

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – A South Dakota Senate investigative panel has unanimously voted to admonish Majority Leader Kris Langer of Dell Rapids and President Pro Tem Brock Greenfield of Clark for violating the Legislature’s code of conduct on the final day of this year’s session, and both have apologized.

Langer and Greenfield were accused of being drunk while the Senate was wrapping up last month. Several lawmakers who were at the Capitol that day testified before a Senate Friday that Langer and Greenfield appeared too intoxicated to lead the Senate in the final hours.
