Taco John’s Revamping Branding As It Adds New Stores And Remodels Older Ones

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – Cheyenne-based Taco John’s is trying to revamp its branding and expand the franchise as it adds new stores and remodels older ones.

Taco John’s International Inc. President and CEO Jim Creel says the changes are “an aggressive growth initiative” for the chain, which has nearly 400 restaurants in 27 states, most in the Midwest and Mountain regions.

Creel says they hope to open between 15 and 20 new stores this year and 20 to 25 next year. The first new Taco John’s opened in Cheyenne in October using the company’s updated logo and branding as well as new menu items from a planned national roll out.

. Creel says the new stores and those undergoing remodeling will use the new branding while the company focuses on more franchising opportunities.

The company, which was founded in Cheyenne in 1969, opened a satellite franchise support center in Minneapolis in October to be closer to more than 200 Taco John’s locations in the Midwest.
