Lincoln police have arrested a 15-year-old girl and her 16-year-old boyfriend in the stabbing death of her father.
Sallie Gilmer is being held on suspicion of 1st-degree murder with Isaac Honigschmidt arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting 1st-degree murder.
Officers responding to a 911 call from Gilmer about 4:00 Monday afternoon found 70-year-old Jesse Gilmer dead in his apartment of stab wounds.
Sallie Gilmer told 911 dispatchers that she’d arrived home from school and found her father injured and unconscious.
After speaking to officers at the scene, she was taken to police headquarters to be interviewed by investigators along with other family members. Honigschmidt was later located and also taken then for interviews.
The arrest affidavit says information gained through the interviews, digital evidence, and on-scene evidence led to the arrests of the two teenagers. Officials say they don’t yet have a motive for the killing.
