State officials are encouraging Nebraskans to consider getting tested for COVID-19 before Christmas, especially if they plan to ignore the advice to stay home for the holidays this year.
Chief State Medical Officer Dr Gary Anthone says taking a test for the virus before Christmas would add an extra layer of protection for families that plan to gather together.
Gov Pete Ricketts says Test Nebraska will continue to run at full strength this week until Thursday – Christmas Eve.
With the holiday shutdown of the testing sites, there are only 2 opportunities to use Test Nebraska in the Northern Panhandle this week.
Those are today from 7-9:00 AM at the old Chadron Hospital on Morehead Street and tomorrow from 2-4:00 at Gordon Memorial Hospital.
The regular sessions on Thursday afternoons in Gordon and Friday morning in Chadron fall under the holiday closures.
