“The Sound Of Music” Opening At Post Playhouse

Loading

The Fort Robinson Post Playhouse opens its third show of the season tonight and it’s one of the best-known musicals in the world- Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.

Often called “the most loved musical in the world,” The Sound of Music is the most family-oriented of this summer’s productions at the Playhouse – not that any of the shows could be considered anything but family-friendly.

It also has this year’s biggest cast. Producing artistic director Tom Ossowski and Dewayne Barrett, who’s the director and choreographer of The Sound of Music, say that’s because there are 6 kids roles and 11 young actors filling them.

There are essentially full houses for the performances tonight and Sunday afternoon with a very limited number of tickets available for tomorrow night, but good seats remain for most other performances of The Sound of Music.

Damn Yankees, Desperate Measures, and The Sound of Music will run in rotation next week and Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week.

The final 2 shows will open on successive Fridays, Church Basement Ladies 2 weeks from tonight and Something Rotten on July 1.

Tickets can be ordered online at postplayhouse.com or by phone 24/7 at 888-665-1976
