Two More Released From Coronavirus Quarantine At UNMC


OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – Two more Americans who were exposed to the coronavirus on a cruise ship in Japan have been released from quarantine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha after testing negative for COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

A total of 15 passengers from the Diamond Princess were held at the UNMC National Quarantine Unit. Two were released Sunday, two more on Monday, and one on Tuesday before the release of two more Wednesday morning.

The 8 remaining in the Quarantine Unit are expected to be released in the coming days. They must first comeback negative for COVID 19 in 3 straight tests, 24 hours apart.
