Unattended Chadron Death Appears To Be Natural Causes

Dawes County Attorney and Coroner Vance Haug says it appears the unattended death Wednesday of a longtime Chadron resident was the result of natural causes.

The body of 59-year old Stanley Blindman was found in his home about 7:30 PM by family members who’d gone to check on him because they hadn’t heard from him for several days.

Haug says an investigation of the scene, physical evidence there, and witness interviews gave no indication of foul play and strongly indicated Mr Blindman died of natural causes.

Still, the investigation into the cause of death is continuing with Chadron police asking that anyone who had recent contact with Stanley Blindman contact them.
