Visitation Thurs Night, Funeral Fri Morning For Omaha Marine Killed In Kabul Bombing

      A public visitation is being held tonight at an Omaha church for Marine Corporal Daegan Page, the 23-year-old from Omaha who was among the 13 U-s service members killed in last month’s suicide bombing at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan 

      St Paul’s Lutheran Church will also be the site tomorrow morning for Page’s funeral with full military honors. 

       He will be buried later in the day with a formal procession planned from the church to the Omaha National Cemetery.   

     Page was raised in Red Oak, Iowa, and in the Omaha area and joined the Marines after graduating from Millard South High School.

      He was serving in the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment based at Camp Pendleton, Calif, at the time of his death. Over 170 Afghans also died in the airport bombing.
