Winter Storm/High Wind Update (Updated 7:10am)

The weather Impact Level for Wednesday October 13th is: Moderate


Here are the current weather event impact highlights:
 • Converse, Niobrara, Platte, and Goshen Counties in Wyoming along with northern Sioux County in Nebraska were upgraded to Blizzard Warnings earlier this morning. 
 • Blizzard conditions (1/4 mile visibility and 35+ MPH wind gusts with falling/blowing snow) reported near Douglas and Glendo this morning.
 • Snowfall will end around midday for most locations, but a few inches of accumulation are still expected this morning along the I-25 corridor from Chugwater to Douglas and locations farther northeast.
 • Strong winds 55-65 MPH expected today. Blowing snow is also expected at locations with fresh snow cover.
