WNCC Board Freezes Tuition For 2022-23

The Western Nebraska Community College board has voted to freeze tuition next year for virtually all categories of students.

Interim College President John Marrin says the school remains committed to serving the needs of the region and one of those needs is to provide a high quality education that is as affordable as possible for students and their families.

Marrin adds that he’s grateful to the Board of Governors for its support toward that priority.

The tuition freeze doesn’t mean WNCC won’t cost individual students more next year than this year.

It doesn’t keep course-specific fees, which often reflect costs of materials, from going up and the WNCC board has already approved hikes for room and board.

Meal plans are going up 3% across the board as are room rates in Pioneer Hall. The other residence hall on the Scottsbluff campus, Conestoga, and Sidney Hall in Sidney will both see 2% increases.

Registration for the Spring 2022 semester at WNCC is now open. More information about registration, financial aid, and scholarship resources is available online at  wncc.edu/jointhepride or by calling 1-800-348-4435.
