Wyo Senate Advances Ban On Vaccination Mandates

Loading

On the second day of the Wyoming Legislature’s special session to ban COVID-19 vaccination mandate, the state Senate advanced a bill prohibiting businesses including insurance companies from singling out customers based on vaccination status.

The Senate debated the vaccine-status bill for the first time after changing it to allow insurers to raise premiums for unvaccinated customers and provide other incentives to get the shots.

The bill cleared the Senate on an 18-10 vote.

Wyoming lawmakers have filed 20 measures for the special session called to counter President Joe Biden’s plan to require vaccination for certain workers.Â
