Wyoming Tops 1,000 COVID Deaths

     Wyoming’s COVID-19 death toll has passed 1,000. Wyoming Department of Health figures show that the recent deaths of 45 more people from the virus have brought the state’s official death toll to 1,041. 

     Among the latest deaths are 8 people from Campbell County – which includes Gillette, 7 from Laramie County – which includes Cheyenne, 6 from Park County, 5 from Sweetwater County and 4 from Goshen County – which includes Torrington.. 

   The 1,000 death milestone coincides with a late-summer surge in infections and Wyoming’s COVID-19 vaccination rate, which is second-lowest in the U.S.
