Funeral services for 37-year old Nicky Reed Steele are Wed, April 20, 2022 at 10:00 at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City, SD. with traditional Lakota Services by Mr Mike Cross
Burial follows at noon at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
A two-night wake service starts Monday, April 18, at 2:00 at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City.
Nicky Reed Steele was born on March 7, 1985 in Rosebud, SD to William David Steele and Roberta Left Hand Bull. Nicky made her journey to the Spirit World on April 9, 2022 at the Monument Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.
Nicky is survived by her mother, Roberta J. Left Hand Bull; father, William D. Steele; daughters, Temeka Dillon, Lakota Lone Dog, and Louise Steele; sons, Stephon Lone Dog, Stephen Lone Dog, and Stephan Lone Dog, Jr.; siblings, Chastity Oliver, Candace Arthur, Priscilla Steele, Billie Steele, Corey Marshall, and Maxwill Steele; aunts, Avis Left Hand Bull, Kateri Left Hand Bull, Betty Yellow Eagle, Joann Yellow Eagle, and Pamela Gonzalez; uncles, Dwayne Left Hand Bull, Lavern Left Hand Bull, Chester Steele, Paul Steele, Phillip Steele, Vincent Steele, Sr., Robert Steele, and Lloyd Steele; and special friend, Valentine “Javier” Ruiz.
Nicky was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Cecilia Brewer/White and Rouvena Marshall; grandfather, Robert Left Hand Bull; and cousins, Denny Steele and Jennifer Steele.
Pallbearers will be Justin McCloskey, Grae Oliver, Jaden Marshall, Valentine “Javier” Ruiz, Martha Kills Enemy, and Zachary Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Heather Walking Bull, Melva Leader Charge, Megan Little Shield, All Steele Family, All Left Hand Bull Family, and All Relatives & Friends.
