NPPD Responding To Gordon Outage

GORDON – Nebraska Public Power District says an outage hit some 1,150 customers Gordon about 5:30 this morning and the utility doesn’t know how long it will take to complete repairs.

NPPD spokesman Mark Becker says the outage occurred when a circuit switcher failed in a substation. A crew has been dispatched to the area to determine what repairs need to be made to restore power.

Becker says NPPD asks customers to be patient as workers make their way to the substation and begin the repair process – adding that everyone needs to continue to practice social distance and not engage with the technicians to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
