Open Thank You Letter From The Dawes Co Commissioners

The Dawes County Board of Commissioners would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the taxpayers of our county.

In the past several weeks, you have managed to do business by being flexible and taking advantage of our dropbox, mail system, phone lines and business via the internet.

Through public announcements the community has been given the information to still do business, even though our front doors are closed to public traffic.

We would like to keep you up to date on future operations as the state gears up to re-open.Dawes County would like to keep pace with the dates set by the State of Nebraska and be back to normal business hours by the end of May, as per public health guidelines.

As we begin to open up to the public, we want to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff and community. Please, know that each office has been operating and fulfilling the obligations set forth by the State. All offices are still available by phone, mail and via the internet.

These offices are ensuring the flow of business so duties with the clerk, assessor, treasurer, sheriff, roads, veterans, attorney, and courts are rolling at expected capacity.

This collaboration of taxpayers and the local government is key to keeping our mill levy unchanged. It is also key in making sure the City of Crawford, City of Chadron, and both public schools have their funding uninterrupted.

If you have concerns or questions please feel free to reach out to us. All office phone numbers and emails can be located at our website dawes-county.com along with other information you may need.

Thank you again for your continued support and hard work
