Panhandle School Closures Extended To End Of School Year

HEMINGFORD – As expected, the decision has been made to keep all schools in the Panhandle closed for the rest of the school year.

Like the initial closure decision announced March 22nd and running through May 1, the decision to remain closed and operate in an alternative learning environment was made in consultation with Panhandle COVID-19 Unified Command

Traditional graduation ceremonies will not be possible, but each school district is working to determine appropriate alternative methods to honor the Class of 2020.

Options being considered that comply with the guidance of health officials include postponing to a later date and virtual ceremonies.
