Funeral Services for 53-year old Paula Wright are Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD, with Father Ed Witt, S.J., officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Merle Left Hand Bull and Ms Pansy Hawk Wing

Burial is at St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD

Visitation is Thur evening, Sept 23, from 4:00-9:00 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City with rosary services starting at 6:00 PM.

Paula Rae Wright was born on November 21, 1967 in Pine Ridge, SD to Robert Wright and Sharon Richards.  Paula made her journey to the Spirit World on September 14, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Paula is survived by her spouse, Ira Young; children, Eddie Wright and Cheyenne Wright; grandchildren, Dakota, Aden, Shoni Rae, Chassity “Baby Doll” and Ayla; siblings, Caroletta Rodriguez, Kateri Hennessey, Robin Wright, Brian Wright, Wayne Wright, Jay Wright, Shane Montgomery, Joe Montgomery, Cecelio Montgomery, Cecilee Richard, and Nicole Richard; aunt, Cheryl “Jeanny” Castillo; uncle, Robert “Bobby” Montgomery; and nieces & nephews, John, Delbert, Lessa, Tad, Elana, Marcos, Mario, Cecelio, Maximus, Monica, Johnny, Maranda, Brian, Brandon, Adlee, Brooke, Brandy, Allen, Avery, Shad, Julian, Roxie, Andre, Enrique, Arturo, Cecilee, Paul, Jerry, Fred, Rachel, & Robert.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Sharon (Richard) Lizotte, Ramsey Richard, and Robert Wright; grandmother, Cecelia Montgomery; grandfather, John Montgomery; aunts & uncles, Mona Montgomery, Mike Montgomery, Johnny Montgomery, and Jerry Montgomery; great grandmother, Sophie Mousseaux; great grandfather, Ambrose Hernandez; niece, Monica Hennessey; cousins, Dustin Janis, Matthew Quick Bear, and Carlos Hopkins; and numerous relatives & ancestors.
