Peaceful Floyd Protest March And Rally Draws 125+ In Chadron

CHADRON – Chadron Police Chief Tim Lordino says a protest march and rally yesterday in support of George Floyd, the black man killed by a Minneapolis police officer last week, came off entirely peacefully.

Lordino estimates that between 125 and 150 people took part in the event, which began at the Lindekin Clock Tower at Chadron State and ended at the Dawes County Courthouse where a number of people addressed the crowd.

Lordino says most of the participants appeared to be either of retirement age or college age and younger.
