Graveside services for 69-year old Peter Mesteth are Monday, Nov 16, 2020 at 2:30 at the Lakota Freedom Veterans Cemetery near Kyle, SD, with traditional Lakota services by Mr Mike Little Boy
Visitation will precede the services Monday from 11:00 – 2:00 at the Daryl Mesteth residence in Kyle
Peter Lawrence Mesteth was born on Dec 21, 1950, in Pine Ridge, SD, to Levi Mesteth, Sr. and Lizzie (Bull Bear) Mesteth. Peter made his journey to the Spirit World on Nov 7, 2020 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Peter is survived by his daughters, Cecelia Tallman, Clarrisia Shangreaux, Katherine Shangreaux, and Leslie Mesteth; sons, Chris Mesteth and TJ Mesteth; brother, Daryl Mesteth; grandchildren, Cassius Apple, Camille, Cadence, & Cassie Mesteth, Shilo, Memphis, Angelina, Josephine, and Cheyenne Tallman; great grandchildren, Ta’Neeciya Clifford and Taten Clifford, nieces, Anna Mesteth, Kim Mesteth, Denise Mesteth, Kirsten Clifford, Kristen Clifford, and Kyra Clifford; and nephews, Levi Mesteth III, Daryl Mesteth, Jr., Jesse Mesteth, Derek Mesteth, Charles “Tuko” Clifford, Jayme Mesteth, Aloysius Little Whiteman, Brad Little Whiteman, Channing Little Whiteman, Tristen Little Whiteman, and Chase Little Whiteman.
Peter was preceded in death by his father, Levi Mesteth, Sr.; mother, Lizzie Bull Bear-Mesteth; wife, Carmel Cuny-Mesteth; son, Corey Mesteth; brother, Levi “Sonny” Mesteth II; and sisters, Rose Mesteth, Carol Mesteth, and Verene Mesteth.
Pallbearers will be Chris Mesteth, TJ Mesteth, Channing Little Whiteman, Brad Little Whiteman, Tristen Little Whiteman, Chase Little Whiteman, Al Little Whiteman, Jr., Ed Peltier, Sean Means, and Myron Sierra.
Honorary pallbearers will be all Relatives & Friends.
