Prison For 3 Rapid City-Area Residents In Drug Trafficking Case

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – Three Rapid City-area residents found with roughly 3 pounds of methamphetamine when arrested have been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking.

U-S Attorney Ron Parsons says 48-year old Josh Sanders recevied 12-1/2 years while 45-year old Gregory Murphy and 36-year old Cathy Jacques each received 10 years. All 3 will spend 5 years on supervised release after completing their sentences.

Sanders, Murphy, and Jacques were stopped by the South Dakota Highway Patrol in April as part of a 6-month investigation into their drug trafficking activities. Parsons says the trio purchased meth in Nevada and brought it to Rapid City for sale.
