Quarantine Cruise Proclaimed Huge Success

CHADRON – There’s no way to describe Friday night’s first-ever Chadron Quarantine Community Cruise other than as a huge success as dozens of drivers took advantage of the chance to get out and socialize without breaking the social distancing rules in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Our own Dennis Brown and Jeremy Anderson made it clear in their live reports during KCSR’s 2-hour broacast of “cruisin’ music” that vehicles stretched from one end of 3rd Street to the other with a number of them also taking advantage of special food deals at a number of eateries.

Several drivers made the day for residents of Crestview Care Center by driving up to the Kenwood neighborhood and swinging through the Crestview parking lot to show off their vehicles.

The idea of the Quarantine Cruise even inspired a number of drivers in Hot Springs to have their own cruise there – also listening to the music from KCSR and our sister station FM 107.7 KBPY.
