South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg picked up his 7th speeding ticket in 7 years last week.
The citation came just 4 days before he pleaded No Contest to a pair of misdemeanors for hitting and killing a pedestrian along a highway.
Ravnsborg was cited for going 57 in a 35 mph zone somewhere in Hughes County; the exact location and the law enforcement agency involved have not been revealed.
Because of his past speeding record, South Dakota’s top law enforcement officer was charged with a 2nd-degree misdemeanor and fined $117.50.
He has not paid the fine or admitted his guilt.
Ravnsborg was fined $1,000 for the two misdemeanors in the death of 55-year old Joe Boever of Highmore.
