Recommendation For Those 65+ Still To Register For COVID Vaccine With PPHD; 18-65 Use New State Website

Nebraska’s new statewide online signup system for the COVID-19 vaccine, vaccinate.ne.gov, is up and running, but Panhandle Public Health District director Kim Engel is still encouraging Panhandle residents over 65 to sign up regionally.

Engel says registering online at https://tinyurl.com/ycpxzr5d or by calling one her agency’s 2 phone numbers 308-262-5764 or 308-633-2866 ext. 101 lets those 65+ take advantage of the system already in place.

Once someone has registered through PPHD, they’re on the list that is being coordinated with local vaccine providers. When vaccines are available, appointments will be scheduled and individuals will be called days ahead.

For those 18-64, Engel encourages them to use vaccinate.ne.gov – including those who have already registered on the Panhandle list.

The state list is NOT first-come, first-served and people will have a chance to schedule appointments when it is their turn and vaccine is available.
