Funeral services for 69-year old Robert “Bob” Scherbarth are Monday, Nov 30, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alliance with The Reverend Richard C. Mueller officiating. Streaming is available through the church website.
Burial will be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov 29 from 1-5 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Alliance. Masks and social distancing are required for all 3 events..
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church School Endowment Fund.

Robert Warren “Bob” Scherbarth, 69 years old, entered heaven to enjoy eternal life after his untimely death on November 18, 2020.
Bob was able to give the gift of life to others by being an organ donor preceding his final passing, showing once again, in life and in death; Bob was a most generous and caring man.
Bob was born January 5th, 1951 in Torrington, WY to Warren & Betty (Glee) Scherbarth. He grew up in Hay Springs, NE, and graduated from Hay Springs High School.
After graduation he worked for a neighboring farm, then enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country admirably for four years. After his honorable discharge he worked road construction, then as a Carman – most recently for Progress Rail, from which he retired.
On May 28, 1988 in Alliance, NE, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Barth) Scherbarth. During their 32 years of marriage they served the Lord through activities at Immanuel Lutheran Church as well as their community.
They raised their daughter, Bridget Hudson, and in recent years have enjoyed the pleasure of spoiling their grandchildren, Tavin and Teagan Hudson. Bob also enjoyed his hobbies of guns, reading history, and being a faithful servant, husband, father, and grandfather.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Nancy Scherbarth, Daughter and Son-in- Law Bridget and Ethan Hudson, and Grandchildren Tavin and Teagan Hudson of Rapid City, SD and constant shadow, Buddy. Siblings Susan and Stewart Smith of Brady, NE, Steven Scherbarth of Aurora, CO, Brian Scherbarth of Casper, WY, Janene and Norman O’Dell of Alliance, Craig and Cheryl Scherbarth of Elsie, NE and loving sister-in-law Peg and Randall Brauer of Alma, NE and Brother-in-Law Melvin and Kathleen Barth of Hay Springs as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, nephew, and great niece.
