Funeral services for 62-year Rose American Horse are Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Body of Christ Church in Porcupine, SD, with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., and traditional Lakota services by Norman Bear Shirt and Michael Little Boy Jr.
Burial services will be at the Christ The King Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine
A one-night wake service starts Monday, October 12, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Body of Christ Church in Porcupine, SD.
Rose Mildred American Horse was born on December 1, 1957 in Pine Ridge, SD to Oscar Carl Good Shot and Alma Bear Shirt. Rose made her journey to the Spirit World on October 6, 2020.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Carl Good Shot and Alma Bear Shirt; son, Donovan High Hawk, Jr.; and brothers, Dwight Good Shot, Rolland Good Shot, and Timothy Good Shot.
Rose is survived by her spouse, Gerald American Horse; daughters, Latonna Dreamer, Monique Trueblood, Jewel High Hawk, Tiffany High Hawk, Lorena American Horse and Shera High Hawk; sons, Aaron High Hawk, Kevin High Hawk, Dusty American Horse, Scott Dreamer, Sr., and Adrian Trueblood; siblings, Duane Good Shot and Ardiss Good Shot; aunt, Imogene Good Shot; 28 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Scott Dreamer, Jr., Aaron High Hawk, Jr., Lane High Hawk, Joedean Dreamer, Addison High Hawk, Timothy Hill, Donovan Good Shield, Diamond High Wolf, Precious High Hawk, and Berea High Hawk.
Honorary pallbearers will be the O.S.T. Transit Employees, Charlotte Good Shield, Tuesday Good Shield, Beulah & Kurtis White Crane & Family, Francine Running Shield & Family, Hunka Sister Marilyn Winters, Virginia & Norman Bear Shirt, Porcupine College Center Staff, and All Friends & Relatives.
