SD Adds 36 More COVID-19 Deaths

South Dakota health officials reported 36 more COVID-19 deaths on Friday, bringing the state total to 741.

The youngest victim was in their 50s while 23 were over the age of 80.

       There were 1,205 new confirmed cases and 769 recoveries as the number of active cases rose to 18,407. There have been 66,704 confirmed cases and 51,922 recoveries.

         The only South Dakota number that did not rise on Friday was hospitalizations. It fell by 4 to 574 as 49.5% of ICU beds in the state are now occupied by COVID-19 patients with only 13.4% of them still available.
