South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem says state Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg was involved in a traffic accident about 10:30 Saturday night in Hyde County in the central part of the state that led to a fatality. .
Secretary of Public Safety Craig Price is overseeing the investigation into the accident, but has not released any further details on the crash including the name of the victim or how the crash occurred.
Noem announced that Ravnsborg says in a statement, “I am shocked and filled with sorrow following the events of last night,” and that he will cooperate with the investigation.
