The South Dakota Department of Health began Friday to distribute a million home COVID-19 tests across the state.
The agency says the first batch of 187,500 FDA-authorized Flowflex COVID-19 Antigen home tests arrived in Pierre and were sorted and shipped to destinations across the state.
The first shipments were prioritized for long-term care facilities statewide.
Interim Health Secretary Joan Adam says the agency is delivering on the promise made by Gov Kristi Noem to get a free COVID-19 test in the hands of any citizen that wants one.
