The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 29-year old man has died of injuries suffered Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident a mile north of Rapid City.
The Highway Patrol says the man, whose name has not been released pending notification of family, was southbound on North Deadwood Ave about 2:30 PM when he failed to negotiate a curve.
The motorcycle went off the roadway into a ditch and the rider was thrown off. He was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a Rapid City hospital, where he died Wednesday morning.
