Bailey Grabs 2nd Medal, Bynes Places In TJ As Chadron Closes Out State Track

For the second time in Tatum Bailey’s high school track career, the Chadron Lady Cardinal took 4th place in the Class B high jump.  Her 5′ 4″ mark rounded out a season that started with Bailey setting a new school record in the event at the CSC Indoor Meet.

The finish also gave Bailey her second 4th place medal of the meet after she went 35’ 4.75” in the triple jump on Friday.

In his first state meet showing, Chayton Bynes brought home hardware as well, leaping 43’ 7.25” in the triple jump to place 7th.  

Also a first timer, Cody Hall threw the shot put 46’ 2.5” for 17th.  The entire top eight went over 51’ including the winning toss of 55’ 8” from Gage Griffith of Aurora. 

Hastings won the boys team title by a point over Waverly while the York girls held off Elkhorn North 63-62.5.
