Chadron Middle School 8th grader Quinn Bailey completed an incredible feat at Monday’s Best in the West Junior High track meet in Scottsbluff.  Not only did Bailey win all four events he was entered into, he did so in record breaking fashion.

Bailey captured gold in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and the long jump and set new meet records in each one.

His winning time of 11.71 seconds in the 100m was 25-hundredths of a second faster than the runner-up.

The time of 24.78 seconds that he posted in the 200m meters was almost a second and a half faster than the next closest.

In his 400m, he was two full seconds ahead of the runner-up with a 54.54, and his winning leap of 19’ 5” in the long jump cleared the rest of the field by a whole foot.

Statewide, Bailey’s times in the 100m and 400m as well as his distance in the long jump have him inside the top two amongst middle-schoolers.  His 200m time is also a top 10 mark.

Chadron Middle School wraps up the track season on Saturday in Scottsbluff.
