The NSAA released its additional state track qualifiers on Friday. Those chosen as additional qualifiers did not automatically qualify at their district meets but had one of the next best performances in their event statewide.
Chadron’s Tatum Bailey, already going to the class B meet in the high jump, will add the 100m hurdles and the triple jump.
Hay Springs’ Mia Skinner, the D-9 girls 400m champion, will now also run the 200m dash.
Skylar Edmund of Sioux County, who won the 200m district title, snuck into the 400m.
Jace Freeseman, a member of Gordon-Rushville’s district winning 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams, will head to state in the 400m.
Classes A and D will compete on Wednesday and Thursday, May 19th and 20th while classes B and C will host their meet on Friday and Saturday, May 21st and 22nd. All events are held at Omaha Burke Stadium.
