Broc Berry fired off a round of 82 and was the only Chadron Cardinals golfer to place at the loaded Scottsbluff Invite on Monday.
Scottsbluff’s Austin Thyne edged out Caden Cunningham of Cheyenne Central 73 to 74 for top individual honors.
To show how tough the field was, Chase Olson shot a round 87 and didn’t even fall inside the top 20.
Central and Scottsbluff battled it out in the team race as Central got the slim victory 325-329.
Chadron finished their day with a 362.
Chadron will host their own invite at Ridgeview Country Club on Thursday which will also double as the Western Conference Tournament.
