Chadron’s 145-lb girls state wrestling champion Kenli Boeselager wrapped up action at the AAU Scholastic Duals in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday morning, finishing the weekend with a 7-5 record and capturing 4th in the gold medal bracket with the Nebraska Tsunami.
Boeselager picked a forfeit win in their 1st round match against St. Louis, but stumbled in her remaining three matches going down by major decision and a pair of pins.
After defeating St. Louis 60-6 in the opener, Nebraska dispatched of Montana 42-26 in the quarterfinals and then dropped a heartbreaker to Charlie’s Angels (GA) in the semi’s 33-30. The third place tilt would be a rematch against Iowa, a team that beat them 39-23 on Tuesday, but the Tsunami fared better in another close loss, 31-30.
