Brennan, Crawford Girls Have Best State Track Showing Since 2003 (Audio)

Crawford Senior Jillian Brennan had an impressive showing on the final day of the Class D girls state track meet at Burke Stadium in Omaha.

Brennan started her day with a 3rd place finish in the 800m in a time of 2:26.05.  The 3rd place medal is the best for Brennan in her high school career, topping the 4th place medal in the 1600m from the 2018 state championships.

Brennan, who will run collegiately at Black Hills State, followed it up by taking 4th in the 400m in a time of 60.44, topping her time of 60.94 in Wednesday’s prelims.

The day was capped by the Lady Rams 4th place 4x400m relay team. The time of 4:19.97 was a season best by the team of Brennan, Morgan Jones, Kylah Vogel, and Dalli Anders.

As a team Crawford tallied 16 points to finish tied for 14th with Kenesaw. Sterling held off Humphrey St. Francis for the team title 36-34.

It marks the best performance for a Crawford girls track team since 2003. That season the Lady Rams placed 8th and brought home three medals.
