The Denver Broncos are retooling their inside linebacker corps after all. The Broncos didn’t target the position in the early rounds of the draft or free agency. Yet they released veteran Todd Davis on Friday.
Davis has led the team in tackles in three of the last four seasons and was coming off his best season with 134 defensive stops in 2019. But Davis missed a chunk of training camp with a calf injury for the second straight summer.
The Broncos recently signed veteran linebacker Mark Barron and on Friday traded for linebacker Austin Calitro from the Bengals.
