Broncos GM Paton Begins Search For Fangio’s Replacement

Denver Broncos general manager George Paton has a solid foundation thanks to a terrific draft class and safety Justin Simmons. But a year of big change, including an ownership transfer, begins with his search for a new coach following the dismissal of Vic Fangio. Paton’s other big offseason project is finding the right quarterback to lead his team.

The Broncos have churned through 10 starting quarterbacks since Peyton Manning’s retirement and none have been the long-term answer, including Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock.

Bridgewater went 7-7 but was banged up much of the year and Lock went 0-3 in relief.
