Broncos Have Replacement Kicker With McManus Quarantined

The Denver Broncos weren’t prepared to lose all of their quarterbacks to COVID-19 rules last month when they had to use a practice squad receiver against the New Orleans Saints.

This time they’re ready. Kicker Brandon McManus is on the COVID-19 reserve list as a close contact and he’s not expected to be cleared to return in time for Denver’s game against the Bills on Saturday.

The Broncos planned for this contingency by signing Taylor Russolino after their QB debacle. Russolino is a combo kicker and punter who was isolated from the team until this week. He’ll replace McManus.
