Chadron High head track & field coach Blakelee Hoffman has confirmed to Chadrad Sports that Chadron High’s Chayton Bynes will continue his track & field career at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.
Bynes was a state qualifier last season in both the long jump and triple jump, the latter in which he placed 7th in Class B with a leap of 43’ 7.25”.
Bynes has already set the track on fire this season after winning all four of his events at last weekend’s CSC Indoor Invite, claiming gold in the high jump, long jump, triple jump, and 60m dash.
Bynes didn’t get a track season his Sophomore year due to COVID.
Doane has produced three national champions in the jumps over the past decade.
