Calderon Listed Among Elite 100

Chadron State College senior offensive lineman Justin Calderon added one more postseason award to his name on Sunday evening, when the national outlet at put him on its 2021 Elite 100 list.

The Elite 100 continues a tradition at of including the top 100 players in NCAA Division II, in what were formerly labeled All-America teams.

Calderon was named a “squad” member on a list designed to emulate a college football roster. He was listed alongside CSC’s 2021 opponents Matt Armendariz of Colorado School of Mines, Jakob Pruitt of Western Oregon, and Elijah Reed of CSU-Pueblo, as well as Jake Boonstra of national champion Ferris State and Ralph Singleton of runner-up Valdosta State.

The Levittown, New York, native and junior college product was also named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America Second Team last month, and was rated the No. 7 offensive tackle in DII during the preseason by the College Football Network.
