Caldera, ZumBrunnen Lead Lusk Contingent To State Track Meet

The Lusk trio of Jasper Caldera, Dylan Molzahn, and Melody ZumBrunnen are all multi-event state qualifiers following last Saturday’s 2A East Regional track meet in Torrington.

The top eight in each individual event and top four relays all qualify for state in Casper this week.

Caldera impressed with first place finishes in both the shot and discus.  Molzahn was runner-up in the shot and 3rd in the discus.

ZumBrunnen was busy, taking 4th in the 400m, 5th place in the 100m and high jump, and 6th in the 200m.

Aric Eaton was the boys pole vault champ, while David West was 5th in the same event.  Cody Taylor was 8th in the 3200m and is also off to the state meet.

Anna Richardson captured 5th in the girls shot put, and Jazmine Ladwig was 6th in the 110m hurdles.

Renae Marker and Hattie Nelson round out the Tiger state qualifiers with 6th place finish in the high jump and 8th place finish in the pole vault.

The Wyoming state track meet begins Thursday at Casper Kelly Walsh.
