CFP Playoffs: Cincy, Michigan Make CFB Playoff Debut

The College Football Playoff semifinals are on tap for today with games between Alabama and Cincinnati and Michigan and Georgia.

This is the 7th out of 8 years that Alabama is in the field. It’s also the first year that a team outside of the Power 5 conference, Cincinnati, has earned a berth into the playoffs.

Michigan is a first timer after starting the season unranked and Georgia is in for the 2nd time ever after playing for the National Championship in 2018.

The Cotton Bowl featuring Bama and Cincy is at 1:30 this afternoon and Michigan/Georgia will be the nightcap from the Orange Bowl at 5:30. Both games will be on ESPN.
