Chadron Aims For 8-0, Crawford Looks For Upset

Chadron closes out the road schedule tonight with what may be its toughest matchup of the season against Gothenburg.

The Cards continued the season of defensive dominance with a win over Alliance last week while the Swedes have won two in a row after a 0-5 start.

Chadron will have revenge on their minds after Gothenburg came to Cardinal Field last year and ended Chadron’s hopes of another district title.

Crawford will try to play spoilers and give themselves a chance at the postseason when they host top ranked Cody-Kilgore tonight.

The Rams are looking to rebound from last week’s homecoming loss to Sioux County.  The Cowboys had their highest scoring output of the season last week when they defeated Minatare 97-0.

Despite being 6-1, the Bison are looking at the real possibility of being one of the lowest seeded teams in 11B.

It will be a rematch of last season’s 9-man state championship game when Lusk hosts Southeast tonight.  It’s also a meeting of the teams that were preseason #1 and #2.

With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the two teams are also battling for the 2 and 3 seeds in the east standings.
