An unproductive 4th quarter kept the Chadron girls basketball team from overcoming a late ten point deficit in a 53-33 loss to Belle Fourche on Friday night.
A pair of first quarter threes gave the Lady Cardinals the early lead, but Belle Fourche finished the period on a 9-0 run to go up 15-8.
Macey Daniels connected on two more long bombs in the second quarter, but the Lady Broncs scored 19 points to build a 34-18 halftime lead.
Chadron outscored Belle Fourche 11-7 in the third quarter and trimmed the Broncs lead to ten a couple of times before scoring just four points in the final eight minutes.
Anika Burke had a solid night under the hoop with 10 points to carry Chadron. The Lady Cardinals are home on Saturday against Mitchell with coverage starting at 3:20 pm on KCSR, Chadrad.com, and the KCSR App.
