Chadron Girls Win Bayard B-C-D Invite


The Chadron High girls track team got past Sidney, 129-104, on Friday to claim the team championship at the Bayard B-C-D Invite.

The Lady Cardinals were propelled by double gold finishes from Tatum Bailey and Kyndall Carnahan

Bailey won the high jump, and then took first with a new personal record in the triple jump.  Carnahan won the 800m  in a personal best time and was a member of the winning 4x800m relay team.

Hay Springs’ Mia Skinner won the 400m and Crawford’s Kylah Vogel earned top honors in the 300m hurdles.

Chayton Bynes of Chadron won a pair of first place medals, taking the 100m and triple jump.  Carter Ryan also earned himself hardware after winning the 800m.

The Sidney boys beat Chadron 155-129.

Districts will be up next for teams across Nebraska starting on Wednesday.
